Overview

When performance is critical, the FastLine™ chart type is a good alternative to the Line chart. FastLine™ charts significantly reduce the drawing time of a series that contains a very large number of data points.

A FastLine™ chart is a high performance chart that is ideal in situations where very large data sets are used, and rendering speed is critical.

Note
To make the FastLine™ chart a high performance chart, some charting features have been omitted. The features omitted include the ability to control point level visual attributes, the ability to draw markers, the use of data point labels, shadows, and the use of chart animation.
