Dundas.Charting.WebControl Namespace > Label Class : Interval Property

Gets or sets the interval between labels.

Label interval size.

Syntax

Visual Basic (Declaration)
Public Property Interval As Double
Visual Basic (Usage) Copy Code
Dim instance As Label
Dim value As Double

instance.Interval = value

value = instance.Interval
C#
public double Interval {get; set;}

Return Value

A value that represents the interval between labels. Defaults to not being set (Double.NaN).

Remarks

By default this property is not set for axis labels, and the actual value of this property is determined by the Interval property of the Axis object that the label belongs to.

The interval is measured in axis units, and determines how often a label is drawn. For example, if a column chart has an X axis step of 1 (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.) then setting the AxisX.LabelStyle.Interval property to 2 will result in an axis label being displayed for every other column.

An Interval setting of zero (0) will result in an automatic interval that is determined by the control.

Sunday is considered the first day of the week.

For a detailed discussion of interval-related properties see the Setting Axis Label Intervals topic (also applies to grid lines, tick marks and strip lines).
