Dundas.Charting.WebControl Namespace > AxisScale Class : Reverse Property

Gets or sets the axis direction.
The values on the axis are in reverse order. The direction of values on the axis is flipped.

Syntax

Visual Basic (Declaration)
Public Property Reverse As Boolean
Visual Basic (Usage) Copy Code
Dim instance As AxisScale
Dim value As Boolean

instance.Reverse = value

value = instance.Reverse
C#
public bool Reverse {get; set;}

Return Value

If false the axis is plotted normally, if true its direction is reversed.

Remarks

Both primary and secondary horizontal axes are normally plotted from left-to-right, while both primary and secondary vertical axes are plotted from top-to-bottom. The plotting directions can be reversed by setting this property to true.

The plotting direction of an axis not only affects its own associated labels and tick marks, but in addition the other axis associated with it (data is plotted using two axes) will be drawn from the opposite direction. For example, setting the Reverse property of the lower X-axis will cause its associated vertical axis to be the right-vertical axis, instead of the left.

Note that you can also use the Series.YAxisType and Series.XAxisType properties to plot a series against primary or secondary axes.
