Parameters

x

The x-coordinate value of the point the user clicked on.
X coordinate

y

The y-coordinate value of the point the user clicked on.
Y coordinate

requestedElement

Determines the chart element type to be tested.
Only this chart elements will be hit tested.

Return Value

A HitTestResult object, which provides information concerning the chart element (if any) that is at the specified location.

Call this method to determine if a chart element of the given type is located at a specified point.

IMPORTANT: for this method to work correctly the Chart.MapEnabled property must be set to false.

This method can be used with the Click server-side event when implementing drilldown. However, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND using client-side image maps for drilldown because of its ease of use.

The returned HitTestResult object's properties can then be used to determine what chart element was clicked on, and also provides an instance of the actual object selected (if any).
