Dundas.Charting.WebControl Namespace > AxisScale Class : PixelPositionToValue Method

position
Pixel position.

Converts an absolute pixel position along an axis to an axis value.  This method only works in paint events.

This function converts pixel position to an axis value. If an axis has logarithmic scale, value is converted to a linear scale.

Syntax

Visual Basic (Declaration)
Public Function PixelPositionToValue( _
   ByVal position As Double _
) As Double
Visual Basic (Usage) Copy Code
Dim instance As AxisScale
Dim position As Double
Dim value As Double

value = instance.PixelPositionToValue(position)
C#
public double PixelPositionToValue(
   double position
)

Parameters

position
Pixel position.

Return Value

The axis value that corresponds to the specified absolute pixel position along the axis.
Axis value.

Remarks

This method returns a value along an axis for a given absolute pixel position. The given position, measured in pixels, has its origin at: the left border of the chart picture for a horizontal axis; the top border of the chart picture for a vertical axis.  For more information concerning the chart's coordinate system see the Chart Coordinate System topic.

If the axis scale is logarithmic then the axis value is converted so that it uses a linear scale.

The axis value that corresponds to a relative position along an axis can be obtained using the PositionToValue method.

This method only works in paint events.
