Gets or sets the unique name of a ChartArea object.


The name of the chart area

Return Value

A string value that represents a ChartArea object's name.

Example

We use the name to access chart areas in the ChartAreas collection property of the control.

chart1.ChartAreas["Default"].BackColor = Color.Red;

Remarks

The name of a ChartArea object. Must be unique otherwise an exception will be thrown.

This property can be used as the indexer when retrieving a ChartArea object from the ChartAreaCollection object.

Setting this property to a zero-length string will result in an exception being thrown.
