SysInfo APIs

This section provides the specifications of all exported SysInfo functions and structures. All SysInfo APIs use the naming convention SysInfoDll_xxx. SysInfo APIs are grouped into the following categories:

SMART APIs

The SMART component of the SysInfo library is an independent subset of the SysInfo set of APIs for collecting SMART (Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) attributes for SMART-enabled drives. Exported functions include the following:

• retrieving a list of detected SMART disks
• retrieving device information (geometry and supported features)
• retrieving the SMART attributes from a device
• maintaining a history of SMART values for a device
• performing Threshold Exceed Condition (TEC) prediction based on a device's SMART history
• generating a hard disk report, which includes the device information and its SMART attributes

The function names for the SMART APIs are prepended with SysInfoDll_Smart_xxx. The following page provides detailed specifications of the SMART APIs:
